HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Monarchs SLC (17-8-2, 53 points, 1 West) heads to South Texas to face Rio Grande Valley FC on Saturday, September 8 at 7:30 p.m. MT. Interim Head Coach Jamison Olave looks to lead his side to the victory away from Zions Bank Stadium for the first time since June 16.

The Monarchs are coming off the back of its first home loss of 2018 - the second home loss in the last two seasons - to San Antonio FC 1-2 on Monday night. Moving to 12-1-1 at home on the season, DF Konrad Plewa scored the lone goal for the Monarchs, registering his first goal for the Monarchs since arriving in the offseason.

The Monarchs and RGVFC have met once in 2018, a match that ultimately fell in favor of the Monarchs courtesy of a 2-0 scoreline. Former RSL Academy man Richard Ledezma notched the winning goal in the victory before MF Masta Kacher added the second goal in the second half.
