HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Monarchs (0-1-2, 2 points) earned a point at home in a 1-1 match against Austin Bold FC at Zions Bank Stadium.

A first-half goal from forward Jeizon Ramírez and an own goal gave each team a point.

The Monarchs started the match with a flurry of chances in the first seven minutes, but Austin Bold FC managed to keep the home side out of the net. In the 41st minute, the Monarchs found the breakthrough, forward Malik Johnson sent a right-footed crossing ball into Ramírez for the tight-angle finish for the halftime lead.

Fifteen minutes into the second half, Austin Bold FC found the equalizer. Midfielder Xavier Báez fired a long-distance shot into the box that bounced off the post and off MacMath for the own goal. Despite the Monarchs late efforts, the match ended 1-1.
