Mississauga St. Michael's Majors News Release
Mississauga ON - With another summer come and gone, another year begins. Our boys are back in town, as the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors annual training camp begins this Thursday morning with physicals and testing. Camp will wrap up this Sunday evening.
Get to know the boys and visit the Majors website Training Camp page at www.stmichaelsmajors.com. This page will be your online source for player statistical information, training camp roster and updates during the four-day camp. Photos will be posted in the online photo gallery and available for viewing.
For members of the public interested in catching our prospects and returning players in action, please note that ONLY scrimmage sessions are open to public and media. They take place from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon at Community Rink #2 at the Hershey Centre. Use Gate Entrance #5 to enter. Times are subject to change so keep checking the Majors website for updates.
The Majors begin pre-season action on Monday night (August 31) against the Attack in Owen Sound at 7 p.m. The team returns home on Thursday evening (September 3) at 7 p.m. at Milton Memorial Arena (605 Santa Maria Blvd., Milton ON). Home exhibition game schedule is available at the Majors website.
The 2009-10 regular season kicks off when Mississauga visits the Brampton Battalion on Friday, September 18 at 7:30 p.m. Mark your calendars for the Majors home opener which takes place on Friday, October 2 versus the Battalion at 7:30 p.m.
