Reading Royals News Release
Reading, PA, July 18, 2003 â General Manager Ray Delia announced today that the Reading Royals have terminated the final year of the organization's contract with head coach David Lohrei. Delia said that a search for a new head coach would begin immediately.
"We owe it to our fans and to the Reading and Berks community to put the most competitive team on the ice that we possibly can," Delia said. "I lost confidence in our ability to improve our on-ice performance over last year, and I feel this decision was necessary to give our team the best chance to be successful this season."
