Reading Express Wing Bowl 2012
April 4, 2012 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Reading Express News Release
Join the Reading Express on Tuesday, April 10 at 9:30 p.m. for the first ever Wing Bowl at Smokey Bones in Wyomissing. Players from the Express team will compete amongst each other to eat the most wings.
But don't worry fans, before the event you can cast your vote for the Express player that you think can devour the most wings, just $1 for a voting ticket. All proceeds will go to the Harley Davidson Ride for Life campaign to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
"We are excited and happy to put on this event with the Express to benefit the local community," said the Smokey Bones Culinary Manager Sean Johnson.
In a three round elimination event, 10 Express players will start the first round. The top six eaters move on to the second round. And finally, the top two players who put away the most wings after the second round move onto the final round. Each round will get tougher as the wings become spicier. We want to see which Express player can handle the heat.
The fans who predicted the winner with their voting ticket will automatically be placed into a first prize drawing for a $50 Smokey Bones gift card and an autographed Reading Express Football.
Fans who predicted the runner-up with voting tickets will be placed into a drawing for a $25 Smokey Bones gift card and two tickets to the upcoming Reading Express game on April 14 which is a Salute to the Red Solo Cup, College Night.
