The Reading Express will be paying tribute to the 1925 Pottsville Maroons on April 7 at the Sovereign Center, sponsored by The Reading Hospital Medical Group Sports Medicine. The Express will take on the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks in the second of a four game series.
The game will feature a Pottsville Maroons jersey auction courtesy of T102 with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society of Schuylkill County, a trophy presentation to a Maroon representative, and Yuengling/Express pint Tumbler give-aways to the first 1,000 fans thanks to All Star Distributing. The Easter Bunny will also be handing out goodies to the kids in attendance.
The Express is looking to snap a 4 game losing streak. They have been making steady improvements are excited to give the Steelhawks a challenge on their home turf.
The Steelhawks are coming off a loss to the Bloomington Edge in a low-scoring game that had Lehigh falling short by a mere two points.
