
RazorSharks host Sound before All-Star break

Rochester RazorSharks News Release
(Rochester, New York)...The defending American Basketball Association champion Rochester RazorSharks (15-6) host the Strong Island Sound on Thursday, January 25 at 7:05 p.m. in The Blue Cross Arena as the RazorSharks enter the ABA All-Star break having won eight of their last ten games. The RazorSharks are ranked #7 in the ABA Power Rankings this week. The game will be broadcast live on television on the Time Warner SportsNet and on WHTK AM-1280 radio.
The Sound come into Thursday's game with a 13-9 record, having beat Montreal 88-77 last Sunday in Montreal. The Sound have a 6-6 road record and are 5-5 in their last ten games. Gregory Plummer leads the team in scoring, averaging 24.4 points per game and the front court is dominated by 6'7" Tommie "Gunnzz" Eddie, who played at Ole Miss.
Forward James "Mook" Reaves and Head Coach Rod Baker have been selected to represent Rochester on the East All-Stars at the ABA All-Star Game on January 28 in Halifax, Nova Scotia - guard Lazarus Sims is an alternate.
28 STRAIGHT WINS ON HOME COURT AND COUNTING
The RazorSharks have won 28 straight games on home court at The Blue Cross Arena, setting the Rochester professional basketball record for consecutive home wins. Rochester is 31-2 all-time on home court (11-0 this season) and have a 45-10 (.825) all-time overall record in the ABA. The RazorSharks last lost at home on Thursday, November 24, 2005 - Thanksgiving Night - to the Niagara DareDevils 116-111.

HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD
The Hollywood Fame will make its first visit to Rochester on Sunday, February 11 at 2:05 p.m. as they participate in a three-game road swing on the east coast. They will replace the Buffalo Silverbacks on the RazorSharks schedule that day. The Fame ownership group that includes pop singer Nick Lachey, actor Geoff Stults ("7th Heaven" and "The Break-Up"), Stacy Keibler ("Dancing With the Stars"), former MLB All-Star Brady Anderson, NFL quarterback Kyle Boller of the Baltimore Ravens and NASCAR's Brian Vickers.
