Panther and Slam players named All-Stars
January 23, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today named Katu Davis from the Detroit Panthers and Mike Parker from the Bellingham Slam to the ABA All-Star teams that meet on Sunday, January 28th in Halifax, Nova Scotia. According to league officials, "We're really enjoying releasing these names two at a time; it has started to build some great momentum and considerable press - and it is going to be quite a game."
West All-Star: Mike Parker, a 6'6", 210lb guard/forward from the Bellingham Slam. Mike is averaging 30.1ppg, 7.8rpg and according to his coach, "he could score 30-40 points per game if he wasn't so unselfish and such a team player. He is great to have on a team that could well have had several All-Stars."
East All Star: Katu Davis, a 6'4" guard from the Detroit Panthers. Katu graduated from Detroit Northern High School and played four years at the University of Georgia. An ABA and international veteran, he averages 22.7ppg and is a very strong defensive player.
