GREENVILLE, SC -- The Orlando Rays had a mere five hits and one run, but the Greenville Braves could muster only two hits as the Rays took the finale of the four game series 1-0 on a wet Monday night at Greenville Municipal Stadium. Catcher Lee Evans had both hits for the G-Braves, a pair of doubles to left field, as Orlando took the final three games of the set.

The Rays got the only run of the game in the fourth inning off of starter Bubba Nelson (7-9). Frank Moore got things going with a double that one-hopped the left field wall, and Juan Salas followed with a single to center. Moore came in to score on a Jonny Gomes sacrifice fly.

As the skies threatened, so did the G-Braves in the fifth inning. Lee Evans led off with his second double of the game off of Orlando starter Chad Gaudin. Cory Aldridge then drew a walk and just as he got to first base, crew chief Jamie Roebuck signaled for the tarp and play was suspended for 84 minutes. When play resumed, Bryon Jeffcoat bunted the runners over to second and third, but reliever Travis Minix (3-2) was able to get out of the jam with a pair of strikeouts.

John Benedetti pitched the final two innings to record his third save.
