KEEP THE RED WAVE GOING!!!

Attention Stingray fans, the South Carolina Stingrays are seeking everyone's help in creating the RED WAVE. We are asking that fans wear red to the games to show your support as the team embarks on its journey to the Kelly Cup. Break out your red jerseys, t-shirts and hats and anything else you can find and let's create a menacing atmosphere for any team that comes to play the Stingrays at the North Charleston Coliseum!

For those fans that don't have anything red, the Stingrays will be offering a special Kelly Cup Playoffs t-shirt at the merchandise stand during the games for only $12.00. Anyone who would like to pick up one of these shirts before the game can call Todd Merton at 744-2248 x1212 to preorder your shirt. Be sure to pre order to make sure you get your shirt!

Second Season Sub-plots

* The South Carolina Stingrays beat the Gwinnett Gladiators in a decisive game five last night to move on to the Division Finals where they will meet the winner of the Texas vs. Columbia series. * Davis Parley got his first shut out of the playoffs, while Matt Scherer and Travis Morin provided the offense. Scherer scored his first goal of the playoffs while Morin scored his sixth, including five in this round alone. * The first game of the next round will take place on Sunday either in Texas or at home against the Inferno. * This marks the first time the Stingrays have made it to the third round of the playoffs since 2001. * For up to date Stingrays coverage you can visit the Stingrays website or Andrew Miller's blog Rays the Roof. * Stingrays playoff tickets can be purchased at the box office or through ticket master with upper level costing $15, lower level $17 and riser level $20.You can also call the front office at (843)744-2248 to purchase discounted group tickets or to sign up for ‘Pay for Play'.

The Rest on the Quest

* The Columbia Inferno staved off elimination last night with a Daniel Sparre overtime goal to win the game 2-1. They will play a decisive game five in Texas on Friday. * The division finals begin in the Northern Division tonight when the Brabham Cup winners, the Cincinnati Cyclones, take on the Reading Royals. The Cyclones have yet to lose a game this post season.

Blast From the Past

Prior to Davis Parley's 2-0 shutout over the Gwinnett Gladiators in Game 5 of the South Division Semifinals, the last time the Stingrays shut out an opponent in the playoffs was April 13, 2004, when Kirk Daubenspeck blanked the Columbia Inferno 3-0 in Game 4 of the Southern Division Semifinals.
