Arizona Rattlers News Release

MESA, Ariz. - WR ROD WINDSOR was honored by the Arena Football League today for his performance last Friday night against the Iowa Barnstormers; winning the league's Offensive Player of the Week award. This is his third weekly league honor in his record-breaking rookie season.

Rattlers head coach KEVIN GUY also announced the signing of WR SIAHA BURLEY for Friday's playoff game.

Windsor (6-2, 210, Western New Mexico) has the statistics of a veteran after just one season in the league. Windsor is No. 1 in eight categories this season, including total scoring (328), total receiving yards (2372) and total receptions (193), breaking AFL all-time records in receptions and receiving yards. Against Iowa, Windsor added more impressive statistics with 15 receptions for 234 yards and three touchdowns. The wide receiver broke the AFL rookie record and Arizona's franchise record for touchdown receptions in a single season in the loss to Iowa.

Burley (5-10, 175, Central Florida), who played one game for the Rattlers earlier this season, is one of the most decorated players in league history. He has won a litany of awards, including the 2007 Offensive Player of the Year and the 2005 AFLWA Player of the Year. Burley has also been named to three All-Arena squads and the All-Rookie team in 2001.

Windsor, Burley and the rest of the Rattlers hit the road to play the Spokane Shock in the first round of the AFL playoffs on Friday. The game will be shown LIVE on AZ-TV Channel 7/Cable 13, with kickoff slated for 8:00pm AZ time.
