
Rattlers Sign Phoenix Native LB Davon Jones

Phoenix, Ariz. - The Arizona Rattlers announced Tuesday that they have signed linebacker Davon Jones for the 2017 season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Jones was picked up after he attended the open tryout last November and impressed the coaches.
Jones (6-2, 220) attended Mississippi Valley State University where he earned the Defensive Impact Player of the year for the team and was also named to the SWAC All-Academic team in 2014. Prior to transferring to MVSU, Jones attended Glendale Community College where he played running back.
The Phoenix, Arizona native attended Mountain Pointe High School, where he scored 33 touchdowns his senior season and led the Pride to the state semi-finals. He was recently named as one of Mountain Pointe's all-time greatest high school football players by AZCentral.
