Arizona Rattlers News Release

DALLAS, TX. - The Arizona Rattlers (16-2) reached an Arena Football League milestone by beating the Dallas Vigilantes (11-7) 55-49 to notch their 16th win, most wins in AFL history, on Saturday night (July 23) in the American Airlines Center.

QB NICK DAVILA went 26-of-35 for 253 yards and eight touchdowns. It was another steady game for Davila, having no turnovers and executing the Rattler offense with precision. WR CHRIS JACKSON finished with seven catches for 71 yards and five touchdowns. Jackson added to his already stellar career by bringing his touchdown total to 325. WR KERRY REED pulled in 10 catches for 76 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, the Rattlers came up big when they needed to, capitalizing on two huge fourth quarter turnovers by Dallas. DB VINCE HILL had a crucial interception with 5:33 to go in the fourth and the score set at 42-35. Dallas' final comeback attempt was cut short when DL MARCUS PITTMAN recovered a fumble with 22 seconds remaining, effectively ending the game at 55-49.

Offensively the Vigilantes split time between two quarterbacks in the game, QB Luke Drone went 17-of-27 for 147 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. While QB Dan Raudabaugh went 9-of-21 for 113 yards. RB Derrick Ross showed why he is a first-team all arena player rushing for 26 yards and three touchdowns.

Hill's interception late in the fourth quarter immediately led to a WR GLEN FOX touchdown to put the team up by a score of 49-35.
