Ogden Raptors News Release

As we get to the end of 2005, I would like to thank everybody for there support of Raptors Baseball. You are the reason we get to wake up and go to the park everyday.

Let's see. Dodgers GM Ned Colletti continues to add players to the big league roster. The most recent signee is right handed pitcher Brett Tomko. In the last five years, Tomko has thrown at least 190 innings per season and has complied a 81-73 record in that span. They feel that Grady Little will have an immediate impact on his ability to have a great season. With that in mind, things are taking shape. Six Free Agents have signed on to wear the Dodger Blue. They are Tomko, Kenny Lofton, Nomar Garciaparra, Sandy Alomar Jr., Bill Mueller, and Rafael Furcal. Look for the Blue Crew to have a decent season if everyone stays healthy.

Attention Season Ticket Holder! Thanks to all of you who responded before the end of the year to receive your 10% discount. The response was better than I expected. Statements for the 2006 Season Tickets will go out on January 2nd. Payment in full must be received by June 1st.

There is a slight change in the schedule. On the July 10th homestand, flip flop the teams we will be playing. In other words, we play Missoula at home 7/10 -7/12 & Helena 7/13 - 7/16. Then do the same on the July 17th road trip. We will play at Missoula 7/17 - 7/20, then in Helena 7/21 - 7/23. This was done to avoid travel conflicts for another team in the league. It's not changed on the website schedule yet but I will get it done soon.

Something new will be added to Lindquist Field if you are interested in affordable advertising signage. The concourse walls on the side of the restrooms and concession stands will now offer signage. We will produce a 2' x 3' minimum size full color sign to display your company name and message. With all that foot traffic in the concourse areas, I don't see any reason why we shouldn't be using it. One sign on one side of the concourse will run $1,000.00. One sign on both sides will be $1,500.00, so it's best to get both sides. The signs will stay up year round so it will include other events at Lindquist Field. Contact me if you are interested in it and want to hear more about it.

Also, the cost of buying the Open Dated Reserved Box Vouchers will be going up after the first of the year. Instead of receiving 20 Vouchers for $84.00, the price will be $96.00 for the same 20 Vouchers. This still breaks down to only $4.80 per ticket. That's almost half off the $8.00 walk up price.

Last Weeks Trivia Winner was David Rusch. He was the first person the answer Roy Face as the Pirates Reliever who had an 18-1 record in 1959. David, please contact me with a cap size and I will mail it to you.

This Weeks Trivia: First correct response will also win a fitted Raptors Game Cap. Ted William's once said; "They invented the Major League All Star Game for ___________". Which player was he referring to?

That's it for this week and this year. I hope all of you have a safe and Happy New Year. You should stay off the roads if you can. New Year's eve is for the amateurs. True professinals take the night off.
