Ogden Raptors News Release
OGDEN, UT - The Los Angeles Dodgers assigned four players from the 2019 draft to Ogden on Monday. All four are position players; two play in the infield and two in the outfield.
The highest pick of the quartet is 8th-rounder Ryan Ward, an outfielder from Bryant University and two-time ABCA/Rawlings All-American. Ward is joined by 10th-round selection Zac Ching, an infielder out of Virginia Commonwealth University, 15th-round outfielder Joe Vranesh from St. Mary's College, and infielder Jimmy Titus, a teammate of Ward at Bryant University and an infielder.
Three of the four - Ching, Ward and Vranesh - are in the lineup Monday night as the Raptors take on the Grand Junction Rockies in the finale of their season-opening four-game series.
In an additional move, the Dodgers transferred outfielder Rolando Lebron to the AZL Dodgers.
Monday's game is the first mini-Monday of the 2019 season, with the first 500 fans through the gates receiving a mini bobblehead doll of former Raptor and current Dodger Caleb Ferguson, presented by John Chevalier Collision Centerz.
