SuperDraft Friday: The 2007 MLS SuperDraft will take place Friday afternoon in Indianapolis as part of the annual NSCAA convention. The first hour of the draft will be televised live on ESPN2 from 10-11 a.m. The rest can be seen live at MLSnet.com. Currently the Rapids have six picks, including the #6 overall selection. Rapids on the Strip: The Colorado Rapids will meet their Rocky Mountain Cup rivals, Real Salt Lake, in Las Vegas on March 31. The game will be a 7:30 p.m. kickoff at Peter Johann Memorial Field on the campus of UNLV. Newly-acquired Rapids forward Herculez Gomez is a Las Vegas native. Tickets for the tripleheader featuring the UNLV men's and women's teams taking on BYU are $15 for youth 15 and under and $20 for adults. Fans should contact Jorge Perea with Real Salt Lake at 866-9-SOCCER soon as this game will be played at such a small venue.

Tritt Moves On: Former Colorado Rapids Assistant Coach Steve Trittschuh has accepted a position with the Colorado Rush Youth Soccer Club. The Rapids parted ways with their assistant coach and former team captain this off-season, and he is now the Director of Coaching-Academy for one of the state's top soccer organizations. Last year, Trittschuh led the Rapids Reserves to the MLS Reserve Division championship in their second year of existence. Since 1998, Rush competitive teams have won an unprecedented 12 United States Youth Soccer National Championships and one US Club Soccer National Championship.

Front Range Supporters Club Event: The Colorado Rapids announced today that the club will host the next Front Range Supporters Club exclusive happy hour event on Thursday, January 18th at Sobo 151. Colorado Rapids Head Coach Fernando Clavijo will be the featured guest at this happy hour, and will discuss the Rapids' 2007 draft class and upcoming preseason training! Rapids staff will also be on hand to mingle and hang out with Front Range members on an informal basis.
