
Rapids Fall 1-0 at San Jose

Santa Clara, Calif. (Wednesday, October 9, 2013) - The Colorado Rapids fell by a 1-0 score at the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday night, as the playoff race in the Western Conference draws even tighter. Following tonight's match, the Rapids are one point ahead of the Earthquakes and three ahead of Vancouver Whitecaps FC for fifth place in the division, the final playoff spot.
The Rapids host the Whitecaps in the next match for each team, on Saturday, October 19 at 4 p.m. MT at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City. The final regular season match for Colorado will be at Vancouver on October 27. A Rapids win in either match, coupled with a San Jose loss in either of its final two games, will result in a playoff appearance for Colorado.
