March 31, 2007 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Colorado Rapids News Release

Commerce City, Colo. (March 31, 2007) - The Colorado Rapids announced today that Altitude Sports & Entertainment (Altitude) will feature eighteen games of the 2007 Colorado Rapids season. The 18 games broadcast by Altitude, along with the nationally televised games, will result in all thirty Rapids games being on television in the Denver area for the first time in the club's history.

Nine home games and nine road contests round out the scheduled Altitude television coverage. Thirty minutes before each home game on Altitude, fans will also be able to watch the "Rapids Kickoff" pre-game show, featuring all the current MLS news and standings, as well as Rapids player profiles.

"We are excited to continue our relationship with Altitude Sports & Entertainment," said Colorado Rapids Managing Director Jeff Plush. "Having every Rapids game in 2007 available to our home audience on television was a priority and I am pleased we have accomplished this task for the first time in club history."

Culminating the broadcasts on Altitude will be the Rapids' defense of the Rocky Mountain Cup against Real Salt Lake, live from Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Saturday, October 20, the last regular season home game of 2007. Colorado will face rivals Real Salt Lake in a match that could determine the winner of the trophy.

Marc Stout, longtime Rapids announcer, will be once again calling the play by play for all Altitude games. He will be joined by color analyst Brian Crookham, whose inside knowledge of the Rapids and the game of soccer acquired during his years as a coach has been expanded in the last two years as he traveled with the Rapids to both of the team's preseason tours to Europe.
