
Rangers take 1-0 Series Lead

Julian Cimadamore scored the game-winning overtime goal to give the Kitchener Rangers a 3-2 win over the Saginaw Spirit.
The Spirit scored two unanswered goals in the first period to take a 2-0 lead. The first goal came at the midway mark after Tyler Murovich scored on Saginaw's power play. Ivan Telegin scored the second goal with 50-seconds left in the period.
The Rangers replied to tie the game 2-2 after scoring two unanswered goals in the second period. Jason Akeson made it a one-goal game at 4:01 and Cimadamore scored a short-handed goal on a two-on-one rush at 17:56.
The third period was scoreless forcing the game into overtime.
Cimadamore scored at 1:14 in overtime to give the Rangers a 3-2 win, putting them up 1-0 in the quarter final series.
The Rangers travel to Saginaw for game two in the OHL playoffs quarter finals tomorrow to face the Spirit at 7:11pm. They return to home ice on Monday, March 22nd for game three at 7:30pm. Great seats are still available for purchase.
