Clearwater Threshers News Release
Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Randy Wolf has been added to the Clearwater Threshers roster for a rehab start tonight at 7:05 PM at Bright House Networks Field. Wolf takes the mound versus the Sarasota Reds.
The left-hander is recovering from "Tommy John" surgery that was performed in July of last year. The six-year major leaguer has tallied a 65-60 career record with a 4.14 ERA in 182 games.
Initial plans have Wolf rejoining the Phillies rotation in July. The Phillies are currently 32-27 which places them second in the National League East.
The Phillies selected Wolf in the second round of the 1997 draft out of Pepperdine University where he garnered All-Conference honors in three straight years.
Currently the Threshers are 26-32 in the Florida State League West Division. Including tonight, the Threshers have only four home games remaining before the FSL All-Star Break (June 16-18).
