Rancho Cucamonga Quakes News Release

Visalia, CA - The Visalia Rawhide jumped all over the Quakes' pitching staff on Saturday night, winning a 10-1 decision at Recreation Park.

Quakes' starter Yaisel Sierra didn't make it out of the third inning, as he got roughed up for seven runs and took his second straight defeat.

Sierra (2-3) allowed the first seven hitters to reach to open the third inning, as Visalia took advantage of four walks in the inning, taking a commanding 7-0 lead after three frames.

The Quakes got their lone run of the night in the fifth, as Jordan Tarsovich reached on a fielder's choice, scoring Joey Curletta to make it 7-1 against Visalia starter Josh Taylor (1-4).

The Rawhide closed out the scoring against the Quakes' bullpen, getting one off of Philip Pfeifer in the fifth and two more against Luis De Paula in the sixth, taking a 10-1 lead.

Rancho finished with seven hits on the night, with Yusniel Diaz and Garrett Kennedy each chipping in with two-hit nights. Matt Beaty finished 1-for-3, extending his hitting streak to seven straight.
