Grand Rapids Rampage News Release

Grand Rapids Rampage WR/LB Timon Marshall became the first player in team history to lead the Arena Football League in all-purpose yards as his 2,734 yards nudged out Utah OS Siaha Burley (2,719) to pace the AFL in 2006.

Marshall is the first non-OS to record 1,300 receiving yards and 1,300 kickoff return yards in the same season in AFL history (only three offensive specialists had previously accomplished this feat -- Philadelphia's Steve Smith in 2005; Chicago's Antonio Chatman in 2003; and Oklahoma's Lamont Cooper in 2001).

Overall, Marshall caught 102 passes for 1,324 yards (19 TDs); returned 69 kickoffs for 1,316 yards (1 TD), rushed twice for two yards (1 TD), intercepted three passes for 33 yards, and returned two missed field goals for 59 yards. He also posted 39.0 tackles, half a sack and five pass breakups.

Marshall's 2,734 all-purpose yards and 69 kickoff returns are new franchise single-season records. In team single-season history, he finished second in kickoff return yards, fourth in receiving yards, fifth in receptions, seventh in receiving touchdowns and eighth in total touchdowns.
