THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Friday, Oct. 30 vs. Texas Stars, AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m.

Texas will make its second visit to the Alamo City of the 2009-10 campaign on Friday. The Rampage defeated the Stars by a 3-2 score on October 2 at the AT&T Center before falling to Texas 3-2 in overtime at Cedar Park Center the following evening. The Stars currently maintain a record of 5-2-0-2 and sit in second place, behind first place San Antonio, in the AHL's West Division.

SHOTS FROM THE POINT 09-10

GOALS GALORE:

San Antonio leads the American Hockey League in total goals scored (35g), pacing runner-up Abbotsford by one goal in 2009-10. The Rampage are presently ranked eighth among AHL teams in average goals scored per game (3.18 gf/game).

EARLY OFFENSE:

The Rampage presently lead the AHL in first period goals (11g) and concurrently hold a record of 5-0-1-0 when scoring first in a contest.

LONE STAR HOPES:

San Antonio currently holds a 1-2-2-0 record in "Lone Star Faceoff- play, good for four standings points in the 2009-10 season- long intrastate competition between Texas' three AHL clubs.

SPECIAL TEAMS:

The Rampage currently rank 9th in the AHL on the power play, converting on 20.4% of power play chances. San Antonio is 9th on the penalty kill, denying opposing power plays 87.7% of the time.

SHOOTING SUCCESS:

San Antonio boasts a record of 3-0-1-0 when outshooting their opponents.

COYOTE WATCH:

The Phoenix Coyotes, San Antonio's NHL parent club, hold a record of 6-3-0 and are currently in 4th place in the National Hockey League's Pacific Division.

Ice Chips:

#91 Center - Kyle Turris

San Antonio center Kyle Turris has been on a Rampage in 2009-10, tallying ten points (4g, 6a) in 11 games, helping lead the Rampage to a 6-3-2-0 start to the season.

The New Westminster, British Columbia native and #3 overall NHL pick of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft spent the majority of last season with San Antonio's NHL affiliate, the Phoenix Coyotes. In 63 NHL games with Phoenix in 2008- 09, Turris registered 20 points (8g, 12a).

Upcoming Promotions
