The Waterloo Bucks (17-49, 7-25) fell by a 9-5 score to the Thunder Bay Border Cats (22-45, 9-22) on Monday night despite scoring the game's last 5 runs.
Kyle Smith (3-5, R) and Angelo Altavilla (2-5, R, 2B, RBI, SB) each had multi-hit nights for Waterloo.
Bucks reliever Eric Reardon (7.0 ip, 0 R, 3 H, BB, 7 K) kept Waterloo in the game with a dominant relief outing after a rocky start. The lefty compiled 14 swinging strikes on 71 pitches.
