Summerside Storm News Release


(Summerside, PE) Melvin Goins and Joey Haywood each scored 24 points to lead the Halifax Rainmen to a 118-113 win over the Summerside STORM Boxing Day afternoon in Summerside before 1,914 fans.

Greg Plummer scored 34 points to lead the STORM who's record falls to 9-9 on the season.

Meanwhile, the STORM has their "STORM PLAYDAY 2012" from 1 to 4 pm tomorrow afternoon. STORM PLAYDAY 2012 is free and open to all Island youth, parents, grandparents, friends and visitors. PLAYDAY 2012 will feature all STORM coaches and players. A free afternoon will feature fun games, a tour of the STORM dressing room, and a STORM practice from 3-4pm. Also, the City of Summerside is offering participants $1 bowling and $1 swimming at Credit Union Place tomorrow between 12 noon and 5 pm.

"STORM PLAYDAY" is part of a terrific STORM Christmas Week with STORM home games on Friday, December 28th at 7 pm and New Year's Eve December 31st at 7pm.

The STORM will be holding a "Meet and Greet" for Season Ticket Holders prior to our game on Friday December 28th at Courtside beginning at 5:15pm. You are invited to come and to meet your favorite STORM Players, Coaches and Owners and enjoy some pizza and refreshments.
