Hill City Howlers News Release

Salem, VA- The doubleheader scheduled between the Lynchburg Hillcats and Salem Red Sox tonight has been postponed to wet field conditions. There will now be two doubleheaders played this weekend to make up for the two games lost tonight. Wind blew the tarp off the field in Salem earlier this afternoon, and the rain soaked the infield beyond repair.

The first doubleheader will be Friday night at 5:30pm. The Hillcats will throw RHP Ryan Weber (4-1, 2.59) in game one against RHP Kyle Stroup (3-4, 3.86). Game two will see RHP Jarett Miller (4-3, 4.06) for Lynchburg versus LHP Mickey Pena (1-1, 3.46) for Salem.

There will be one game on Saturday as scheduled at 6:05pm. Then, Sunday will see another doubleheader beginning at 1pm.

The Hillcats On-Deck Show powered by Honda/Suzuki of Lynchburg will go on the air tomorrow at 5:20pm. Tune in to Erik Wilson and Jake Levy with the call on 97.9 FM The Planet and online at lynchburg-hillcats.com.
