
Railhawks Women Lose to Charlotte Lady Eagles 3-0

Cary, NC (Thursday, July 3rd, 2008) - The Carolina RailHawks Women lost the first game of the RailHawks Independence Day doubleheader against the 2nd place Charlotte Lady Eagles 3-0 on Thursday afternoon. Former UNC - Chapel Hill and current Lady Eagles midfielder Tina Murphy tallied two goals and one assist while forward Kelly Schmedes tallied the other goal for the Lady Eagles. The match saw the return of UNC and US U-20 standout Casey Nogueira to the lineup after a stint at the CONCACAF U-20 cup with the United States U-20 National Team.
The Carolina RailHawks Women return to W-League action the following Saturday, July 12th as they host the Tampa Bay Hellenic. On July 10th the Cary RailHawks U-23 PDL team will host England's Second Division mainstay Burnley FC in an exhibition at WakeMed Soccer Park at 7:30 PM.
