
RailHawks Team up with American Heart Association to Promote Healthy Living

Cary, N.C. (Tuesday, April 21, 2009) - The Carolina RailHawks are hoping to bring their season record to 3-0-0 this Sunday, April 26, as they host the Minnesota Thunder at 2 p.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park. Tickets ($10, $15 and $20) can be purchased at the LGFCU Box Office by calling 919-859-KICK (5425) or by visiting www.carolinarailhawks.com.
The RailHawks continue to promote health and fitness in the community and on Sunday the American Heart Association will be at WakeMed Soccer Park raising funds and educating fans about the risks of heart disease. All fans who mention the code "AHA" when purchasing tickets online, on the phone or in person, will ensure that 50 percent of the proceeds go to the American Heart Association.
The American Heart Association will be on hand at the match on Sunday to answer any questions fans might have about heart disease and what people can do to prevent it. There will also be activities for children on the East Concourse right next to the Monkey Joe's Fun Zone.
The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The association's goal is to reduce coronary heart disease, stroke and risk by 25 percent by 2010.
