CARY, NC (September 24, 2015) - The Carolina RailHawks announced on Thursday they have signed Alex Pérez for the remainder of the 2015 NASL season. The 24-year-old Spanish defender will look to help the RailHawks push for a spot in the NASL Championship.

"We are very pleased to add Alex to the squad," said RailHawks Head Coach Colin Clarke. "He has a wealth of international experience in Europe and I am sure he will fit in well with the rest of our squad."

Pérez began his soccer career in his home city of Madrid, playing for prestigious youth clubs such as Juventud Madrid and CDC Moscardó before making his professional debut with Getafe CF in 2010.

In 2012, Pérez joined Spanish club SD Huesca on loan and appeared in 12 matches. He then joined Bulgarian club PFC Levski Sofia for the 2013 season and logged 1,085 minutes before returning to Spain on loan to Recreativo de Huelva.
