North Carolina FC News Release
Cary, NC - While the Carolina RailHawks continue to impress soccer fans at home and away, the USL took notice and for the fourth straight week has named a RailHawk to the USL-1 Team of the Week list. Dan Antoniuk was honored by the league for the second time in as many weeks for his leadership on the field and his goal against the Atlanta Silverbacks on Saturday, May 10th, that tied up the score in the first half.
"It was very well deserved," said RailHawks Head Coach Scott Schweitzer. "Dan did all the right things on the field and in practice and it is great to see all his hard work rewarded. We hope his positive streak continues throughout the season."
Antoniuk will have a chance to continue to electrify the WakeMed Soccer Park fans on Sunday, May 18th at 6:00 PM when the RailHawks host the Minnesota Thunder in what will be a battle for position in the standings.
The Carolina RailHawks organization will make history this Friday, May 16th when the Carolina RailHawks Women bring back competitive soccer to the Triangle as they host the Atlanta Silverbacks Women at 7:30 PM at WakeMed Soccer Park. The Carolina RailHawks Men host the Minnesota Thunder next Sunday, May 18th 2008 at WakeMed Soccer Park at 6:00 PM.
