North Carolina FC News Release


On Thursday night, December 6th, Coach Scott Schweitzer will be reading books to children at the Farmington Woods Elementary School Book Fair. The fair, at 1413 Hampton Valley Rd. in Cary, will go on from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Scott Schweitzer scheduled to appear on or around 7:30 PM. This is the second year the RailHawks coach reads at this event.

On Saturday, December 8th, Swoops will join the RailHawks Dancers in two parades. First at 11:00 AM Swoops will be on the Releve' float at the Holly Springs Christmas Parade. In the afternoon, Swoops and the Fit and Able Productions RailHawks Dancers will participate in the Cary Jaycees Christmas Parade at 2:00 PM in Downtown Cary. Carolina RailHawks staff will be available at both events to answer fans questions about season tickets and holiday packages as well as handing out RailHawks goodies.

On Sunday, December 9th, Swoops and the RailHawks gang will travel to Fayetteville to support the North Carolina Adult State Cup. This annual competition open to amateur teams will run from December 7th through the 9th at the Jordan Soccer Complex in Fayetteville and will feature the best amateur players in the area. Swoops and the RailHawks staff will be on hand with Season Ticket and Holiday Package information on Sunday morning from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

All fans will not want to miss the opportunity to meet Swoops and learn about the great news in store for the 2008 soccer season.
