
RailHawks Lose to First-Place Scorpions

SAN ANTONIO, TX (July 23, 2014) - A physical, back-and-forth match Wednesday night ended with the Carolina RailHawks (0W-0T-3L, 0pts) falling on the road to the first place San Antonio Scorpions (3W-0T-0L, 9 points). Two second half goals led the Scorpions to their 2-0 victory.
The RailHawks dominated possession of the ball in the first half and created numerous opportunities to score, including one shot that hit the crossbar and went out of play.
The Scorpions picked up their offensive pressure in the second half and scored in the 62nd and 64th minute with goals from midfielders Rafael Castillo and Billy Forbes.
On Saturday, the RailHawks will return to WakeMed Soccer Park to take on Ottawa Fury FC at WakeMed Soccer Park. Prior to the game, the RailHawks will be hosting the 3rd Annual Pre-Game Pig Pickin' Festival, which includes BBQ, beer, live music and a Crown Royal Liquor Tasting for only $16.
