Match Preview: The Carolina RailHawks (7W-5D-8L; 26 pts; 7th place) host the Jacksonville Armada FC (3W-8D-10L; 17 pts; 11th place) on Saturday, September 3 at WakeMed Soccer Park at 7:30 p.m. ET. On August 6, the RailHawks battled the Armada to a 2-2 draw in Jacksonville. Carolina scored the first and last goals, one from Matt Fondy in the sixth minute and one from Omar Bravo in the 69th. The RailHawks' goals were matched by Jacksonville's Charles Eloundou, who scored for the first time in a Jacksonville uniform. The tied score mirrored possession, as Carolina controlled 50.8 percent of the game, and Jacksonville controlled 49.2 percent.

Last Time Out: The RailHawks fell 6-1 to the reigning NASL Champion, the New York Cosmos on Saturday, August 27 at James M. Shuart Stadium in Hempstead, N.Y. Matt Fondy scored the only goal for the RailHawks, making him the team's leading scorer and putting him in the top 10 in the NASL in goals scored. Nazmi Albadawi tallied the assist, extending his league lead to eight total assists this season.

Players to Watch: #16 Matt Fondy Since signing with the RailHawks ahead of the 2016 Fall Season, Fondy has scored six goals in nine games played, quickly climbing to the top of the team stats. His chemistry with Omar Bravo has been electric, making the duo one of the most threatening attacks in the league.

#2 Tyler Ruthven Ruthven has been a consistent starter for the Armada this season and leads the team with 1,800 minutes played and 20 starts. At 28 years old, he has played on several different teams in several different leagues both nationally and internationally including both USL and MLS. With Carolina's high-powered offense, Ruthven's presence on the field will be a huge factor in the result.

Jacksonville Armada: Going Through Changes The Armada parted ways with head coach and technical director Tony Meola on August 7, 2016 along with assistant coach Jim Rooney. He was replaced by assistant coach Mark Lowry for the remainder of the 2016 season. Their record since the new hire is 1W-2D-0L.

RailHawks Sign Defender Mickey Daly: The Carolina RailHawks announced today they have extended Mickey Daly's one-month loan to a permanent contract. Daly came to Carolina from United Soccer League (USL) side Bethlehem Steel FC. Since then, he has appeared in five games, logging 426 minutes. Daly began his professional career in North Carolina with the Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL in 2013. The California State University, Los Angeles product moved to Sacramento Republic FC for the 2014 and 2015 seasons where he appeared in 57 games, scoring 6 goals. He was signed by the Bethlehem Steel in 2016, appearing in 9 matches and scoring one goal.

Go Gold Month For Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month Throughout the month of September, the RailHawks will be fundraising with the American Cancer Society alongside six other NASL teams including the Tampa Bay Rowdies, New York Cosmos, Fort Lauderdale Strikers, Indy Eleven, Miami FC, Puerto Rico FC and Rayo OKC.
