
RailHawks fall 1-0 on the road at Seattle

The Carolina Railhawks played the first of three west coast matches Wednesday night against the Seattle Sounders at Qwest Stadium in Seattle in front of a crowd of 1991 fans. The final score was 1-0 in favor of the Seattle Sounders with a goal by Sebastien Le Toux in the 57th Minute. The Carolina RailHawks played most of the second half with a one man advantage as Sounders goalkeeper Chris Eylander was Ejected in the 66th minute for a retaliation foul on Chad Dombrowski. Despite being a man up the RailHawks were not able to capitalize on the advantage and lost the first game of this west coast trip.
Next the RailHawks will travel to Vancouver where they will try to break the undefeated streak of the Whitecaps on Friday night at 10:00 PM EST. They will then play against the Portland Timbers on Sunday night before returning home to defend their home field on Friday June 8th against the Rochester Rhinos at SAS Soccer Park in Cary at 7:30 PM.
