North Carolina FC News Release

Cary, N.C. (Tuesday, July 13, 2010) - The Carolina RailHawks (5-2-6, 21 pts.) are on their way to Montreal where they will face the Impact (4-6-5, 17 pts.) on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. The match can be seen on www.carolinarailhawks.com/railhawks-live.

The RailHawks are still undefeated on the road (4-0-4) and will look to continue their exceptional form on Wednesday at Stade Saputo. Carolina will be playing its second of three games in the span of seven days and is coming off a spectacular 2-0 win in Puerto Rico. Sallieu Bundu and Josh Gardner both scored early in the first half to secure the win.

This will be the third time the RailHawks and Montreal meet this season. Last June The RailHawks and Montreal drew 2-2 in an epic battle that was not without controversy. The RailHawks were leading 2-1 when a penalty call late in stoppage time was awarded to Montreal allowing them to draw the match.

Montreal has been struggling a little since the showdown last June having lost all three games played. In their last match, the Impact were defeated by AC St. Louis 3-0. Midfielders David Testo and Felipe Soares will be ineligible to play due to a red card suspension and caution accumulation respectively. The Impact also announced this week the release of forward Roberto Brown and central defender Stefano Pesoli who were mainstays in last year's Montreal lineups.

Next the RailHawks finish their four-game road trip in Rochester as they face the Rhinos on Saturday, July 17 at 7 p.m. This will also be the halfway point for the RailHawks USSF D-2 campaign. They return home for a midweek game on July 27 when they host the Rochester Rhinos at 7 p.m. It will be Brewsday Tuesday as all draft beer will only be $1. $49 Family Four-packs are also available for advance purchase for this match.
