Palace Baltimore Eager To Get Win Against Rochester

Crystal Palace Baltimore News Release
Crystal Palace Baltimore (4-8-3) welcome the Rochester Rhinos (7-3-5) to the Maryland SoccerPlex this Wednesday, July 14, at 7 p.m. In their only two meetings of the regular season so far, the teams have shared the spoils with one win apiece at the Marina Auto Stadium in Rochester.
First blood went to Palace with a 1-0 away win on May 19, courtesy of a superlative 55th minute Randi Patterson strike. A pair of Isaac Kissi goals gave the Rochester outfit the 2-1 victory on the June 12 return game.
At the regular season's halfway point, Crystal Palace Baltimore are sitting tenth in the league and two spots from the coveted eighth playoff spot. But the standings are deceptive. Only two points separate them from playoff contention and there is a lot of soccer still left to be played in front of home crowds for Baltimore.
Palace, however, have struggled at home. Having logged one win and four losses in the five games they have played in home colors this season, Baltimore will be looking to change their fortunes at home. With ten of the remaining fifteen fixtures being at home, it is a change they will no doubt welcome. Palace's four-game shift to the Maryland SoccerPlex might be just the tonic they need.
It could prove to be a tall order for Palace, though. The Rhinos have won as many as they have lost on the road (2), toppling the league-leading Austin Aztex in the process. Couple this with the fact that Rochester are on a seven-game unbeaten streak, and Palace will have to come out with every weapon in their arsenal to get a favorable result.
Palace's next game is a single away engagement at 2 p.m. on July 18 against the Montreal Impact at the Saputo Stadium. It is the first meeting between the two teams this season.
Palace fans can enjoy both games on a live stream feed by logging onto the club's website live.palacebaltimore.com a few minutes before kick off.
