North Carolina FC News Release
Cary, NC (Friday, May 2nd, 2008) - The Carolina RailHawks (1-0-1) will travel to Tropical Park Stadium in Miami to face Miami FC (1-2-1) on Sunday May 4th at 6:00 PM. As with all Carolina RailHawks away matches fans may watch the game by logging on to www.USLLive.com and sign up to watch the game. Packages start at only $ 5.99 for a single game, $9.99 for monthly pass and $49.99 for a full season and every game broadcast on USLLive.
"Miami FC is a very good team," said RailHawks midfielder and 2007 MVP Kupono Low. "They are very offensive minded and organized defensively. We have been gaining more and more confidence every day and we are going to look to score some goals and come back with a win."
The Carolina RailHawks (0-2-0 against Miami) will be looking to build on the momentum gained with the 1-0 victory over the Charleston Battery in their home opener at WakeMed Soccer Park. Midfielder Matt Watson, who recently joined RailHawks camp after winning the MISL indoor championship with the Baltimore Blast, is expected to make his RailHawks debut on Sunday and fans can expect to see more of Uruguayan midfielder Martin Nuñez as he continues to wow soccer fans with his speed and ball control.
Miami FC returns to their home stadium at Tropical Park after splitting a two game series in Puerto Rico against the Islanders. Miami will most likely be without defender JP Rodrigues and forward Sean Fraser due to injuries as well as Cristiano Dias due to a red card suspension but the RailHawks will have to watch out for speedy Brazilian forward Alex Alfonso who already scored three goals this season.
The RailHawks return to WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday, May 10th at 7:30 PM to host the Atlanta Silverbacks. The newly formed Carolina RailHawks Women will make their WakeMed Soccer park debut the following Friday, May 16th at 7:30 PM against the Atlanta Silverbacks.
