RailCats Activate Fronk

GARY, IN - The Gary SouthShore RailCats activated OF Reid Fronk from the inactive list prior to Tuesday's game with Kansas City. To make room on the roster, the RailCats placed RHP Osvaldo Rodriguez on irrevocable waivers and transferred LHP Ari Ronick to the inactive list.

Rodriguez last appeared for the RailCats in a starting role on Friday night against St. Paul. He went 4 and 2/3 innings allowed one run on four hits and walked four; he earned a no-decision.

Overall, he appeared in five games with the RailCats and made two starts. He went 1-1 with a 4.76 ERA. In 17 innings he allowed nine runs on 18 hits and seven walks; he struck out seven.

Reid Fronk, who was acquired by the RailCats from the El Paso Diablos on July 31st, is in the starting lineup for tonight's game against Kansas City batting sixth as the designated hitter.

Ari Ronick went 6-5 with a 4.18 ERA in 13 starts this season with the RailCats. Ronick suffered a strain of his oblique muscle in his start on July 21 against Sioux Falls and is placed on the inactive list retroactive to July 22nd.
