Prince Albert Raiders News Release


Prince Albert SK- The Prince Albert Raiders will play one home game this week, Wednesday against the Regina Pats, before travelling to Saskatoon on Saturday to take on the Blades. The Raiders will return home the following weekend to host the Victoria Royals for the first time, followed by the Edmonton Oil Kings on the 20th and 21st, respectively.

Here is the Raiders itinerary this week:

Monday January 9th

Practice - 1:00

Raider players Justin Maylan, Antoine Corbin and Cole Holowenko will be participating in a Project Forward presentation about the dangers of drug and alcohol to students at Arthur Peachy School.

The CIBC Read to Succeed returns, as Raider players Mark McNeill, Mathew Berry-Lamontagna, Austin Bourhis and Harrison Ruopp will read to students, talk about the importance of literacy and sign autographs at Shellbrook Elementary.

Tuesday, January 10th

Practice - 1:oo

Western Hockey League trade deadline - 4:00 PM.

Wednesday, January 11th

Raiders vs. Pats - 7:00 PM - 900 CKBI

Prince Albert Sports Hall of Fame Night! The 2012 inductees for the Prince Albert Sports Hall of Fame will be introduced prior to the game.

It will be the final Boston Pizza Frisbee toss of the season, with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society.

The pre game meal, hosted by Lone Wolf Catering, will consist of grilled pork shops with apple sauce and will begin at 6:00 PM.

Thursday, January 12th

Practice @ 1:00 PM

The Frank Dunn Future Raiders program begins as Raider players Michal Hlinka, Jonas Knutsen and Sawyer Lange will attend the Prince Albert novice Rangers to help run their practice, skate with the players and teach them skills.

Friday, January 13th

Saturday, January 14th
