Anchorage Wolverines News Release

The Anchorage Wolverines will face off against the Chippewa Steel this weekend for a two game series in Chippewa Falls, WI.

Despite last weekend's two hard losses for the Wolverines, the team still sits in third place in the Midwest Division with an overall record of 22-12-2-2.

The Chippewa Steel are not far behind the Wolverines, sitting in fifth place in the Midwest Division and holding a four game win streak. Last weekend, the Steel swept the Kenai River Brown Bears and the weekend before they swept the Minnesota Wilderness.

The Anchorage Wolverines and the Chippewa Steel have only seen each other for one two-game series thus far, where Anchorage took both games 4-3 and 7-2 respectively.

A new face will be hitting the ice for the Wolverines this weekend, 20-year-old forward Arvega Hovsepyan has recently been added to the roster.

The Shattuck St. Mary's alum has most recently been playing in the BCHL for the Surrey Eagles. He has also spent time in the USHL playing for teams such as the Tri-City Storm and the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.

Top Prospects Tournament Recap:
