Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings News Release

Quarterback Quincy Carter will practice with the BattleWings today and is expected to be in uniform when the team plays Corpus Christi Saturday night at CenturyTel Center. "He might start. He might not," BattleWings' coach Jon Norris told KTBS Television Monday night.

"Quincy complied with the things I asked of him. We had a very positive discussion today and I believe things are moving in a positive direction," Norris told The (Shreveport) Times Tuesday.

Carter has missed four consecutive games while on suspension for a violation of team rules. "I'm very excited I just want to get out on the field and get started again," Carter told The Times. "I'm sorry I let my teammates down, I know I can't make it up to them but I'm going to do my best."

Carter was suspended on May 15. Despite missing four games, he is among af2 leaders in several offensive categories. He averages 8.3 yards per play, best in the league. His is 3rd in passing efficiency, second in yards per completion, sixth in passing average and eighth in total offense.
