Portland, ME- Hartford right-hander Andrew Quezada fired the clubs first nine-inning complete game since July 3, 2019 as he dominated the Portland Sea Dogs lineup in a 5-1 victory on Saturday night at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine. Quezada allowed one run on six hits with a walk and five strikeouts, and did not allow a hit after the fifth inning. He threw 112 pitches to earn his fourth win of the season. Lefty, Jack Wynkoop was the last Hartford pitcher to hurl a nine-inning complete game more than four years ago. The Yard Goats have won four of the first five games of the six-game series in Portland.

The Sea Dogs scored the first run of the game in the fourth inning on back-to-back doubles by Brainer Bonaci, and Nick Yorke to make it 1-0 Portland. York tried to stretch his double into a triple and was thrown out at third base.

The Yard Goats took a 2-1 lead with a pair of runs in the fifth inning against Portland starter Isaac Coffey. Grant Lavigne led off with a double and scored on a fielding error on a grounder by Julio Carreras to tie the game at 1-1. Warming Bernabel followed with a single, scoring Carreras giving Hartford a 2-1 edge.

The Yard Goats added a run in the seventh inning on a walk and two hits against the Sea Dogs bullpen. Kyle Datres drove in Niko Decolati to make it a 3-1 game. Hartford scored twice in the eighth inning on four hits, an RBI fielder's choice by Decolati and an RBI single by Jose Cordova.

Once the Yard Goats took a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning, Andrew Quezada only allowed an infield hit and a walk the rest of the night. He retired 14 of the final 15 batters of the game.

The Yard Goats conclude the road trip with a day game on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine. RHP Case Williams will start for the Yard Goats and RHP Wikelman Gonzalez will pitch for Portland. The game will be broadcast on AM 1410, FM 100.9 and on the iheart radio app. The Yard Goats return home to Dunkin' Park for their next homestand on Tuesday, August 15th (7:10 PM) to host the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
