Huntsville Stars News Release
Thursday, June 19th, Anne Marie Feigner, the widow and teammate of Eddie Feigner, will be at Joe Davis Stadium in celebration of her husband's life. Eddie Feigner, the founder and original pitcher of the King and His Court, brought great recognition to the sport world wide with his traveling four-man softball teams.
The Washington Post once described Feigner as "the greatest softball pitcher who ever lived." During his over 10,000 games, he claimed to have thrown 238 perfect games and 930 no-hitters.
Anne Marie Feigner will throw out the first pitch Thursday as the Stars host the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx. She will also be collecting fans' stories about the King and His Court for her upcoming book "Told By You The Fans," as well as selling autographed copies of "From an Orphan to a King."
All fans who have played against Feigner are invited to join her on field for a pre-game photo shoot. Also fans can exchange new or used sporting equipment at the ticket office for a free general admission ticket to Thursday night's game.
