Worcester Tornadoes News Release

WORCESTER, MA--- After ninth inning heroics put game one in Worcester's pocket, Quebec extracted a 5-1 measure of revenge on Saturday night. Capitales right-hander Karl Gelinas (1-1) was brilliant for the boys from the north, going six and two thirds innings of shut out baseball, fanning four.

Worcester slugged ten hits but was unable to scrape across a run until the very last frame when opposing closer Jason Schutt loaded the bases. Eight walks for Worcester pitching coupled with twelve strikeouts against Worcester hitting did not help the cause for Rich Gedman's crew this evening.

Tomorrow is the rubber game of the three game set for these two squads. Ryan Lobban (2-1) is scheduled to start for the Tornadoes while Ivan Blanco (0-2) is the presumed pitcher for Quebec.
