Quebec starter Karl Gelinas struck out eight batters in 6 2/3 innings to lead the Capitales to a 5-1 win over Worcester. Gelinas surrendered six hits and one base on balls but did not allow an earned run as he evened his record at 1-1 with the victory. 3B Pat Deschenes and RF Alex Nunez each went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI for the Capitales. LF Douglas Toro also helped Quebec's cause as he scored a run, stole a base, and drew three walks in the contest. Worcester had four players turn in multi-hit efforts.
