
Quebec improves to 5-0 with win over Jackals

Little Falls, NJ â Les Capitales de Quebec continued their hot start with a 4-2 win over the New Jersey Jackals.
The New Jersey offense forced Quebec to play from behind early. John Lindsey singled home Zack Smithlin, making it 1-0, Jackals
Fans would then be treated to a pitchers' duel between New Jersey's Brad Whitworth and Quebec's Min-Soo Kim. Both pitchers kept the opposing offense at bay until the bottom of the fifth. Lee Delfino's three run homerun all of the sudden put Les Capitales in the lead 3-1.
John Lindsey homered in the sixth for New Jersey, keeping the Jackals in the contest. But Eddie Lantigua continued his red hot start with a solo shot of his own in the bottom frame of the inning. It put Quebec up 4-2
Brad Whitworth got the tough loss in seven strong innings. He gave up six hits, two of them homeruns, while striking out four and only walking one. Min Soo Kim pitched a gem for Quebec. He pitched a complete game, while giving up two earned runs, scattering seven, and striking out four. He recorded the first complete game in the 2005 Can Am League season
The New Jersey Jackals return home on Thursday. June 5, 2005, as the Grays come back into town.
