Rancho Cucamonga, CA - The Quakes blew an early four-run advantage, but rallied late for a 13-8 win over the Lancaster JetHawks on Wednesday night at LoanMart Field.

Cody Thomas and Cristian Santana had back-to-back two-run singles in the seventh to snap a 7-7 tie, as the Quakes won their fifth straight game over Lancaster and for the second night in a row in the series.

The Quakes scored in each of the first three innings, taking an early advantage against Antonio Santos.

Donovan Casey opened the scoring with a two-run shot, his fourth of the year and first since mid-May to make it 2-0.

After the JetHawks tallied a run against Isaac Anderson in the second, Carlos Rincon took one to the opposite field to open the bottom of the second, his tenth in a Rancho uniform, giving the Quakes a 3-1 lead. Rancho added two more to move the lead to 5-1.

The two teams traded multiple runs in the third, as the JetHawks got a three-run blast from Bret Boswell, making it 5-4.

The Quakes answered with a pair in the last of the third, as Nick Yarnall singled home a run and Cody Thomas walked with the bases loaded, pushing the lead to three at 7-4.

Lancaster got two in the fifth and then evened the game in the sixth, as Issac Anderson allowed a game-tying hit to Brian Serven, tying the game at 7-7.

Thomas broke the tie with a two-run hit against reliever Alexander Guillen (3-2), who took the loss.

Logan Salow (4-2) earned the win in relief for Rancho, which ties a franchise record for wins in a half with 42.

Now 26 games over .500 for the firs time in franchise history, the Quakes (77-51, 42-16) will look to sweep the three-game set on Thursday night, sending Max Gamboa (3-1) to the bump against Lancaster's Matt Dennis (7-12) at 7:05pm.
