Puck Drops on Komet's 53rd Home Opener Saturday

Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets will open their 53rd home season of hockey in Fort Wayne when they faceoff against the Flint Generals this Saturday night at the Memorial Coliseum. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as festivities are set to begin at 7:30pm sharp.

Tickets for all 2004-05 Komet home games are on sale at the Coliseum Ticket Office and online at www.ticketmaster.com.

The Komets have practices scheduled each morning this week thru Saturday at the coliseum in preparation for their 2nd weekend of the season. The Komets will skate at Port Huron Friday night at 6:05pm (Fort Wayne time) before their home opener against the Generals Saturday.

The Komet's roster was trimmed to 20 players today as the Komets announced that winger Jason Selleke has been waived. Selleke skated in the Komet game at Adirondack last Saturday night for his only appearance with the Komets in the first 3 games of play.

Saturday, Oct. 23, Flint Generals at Komets, 7:30pm

Thursday, Oct. 21.....10am-noon at the coliseum

Monday, Oct. 25....10am-noon at the coliseum
