Pronger to announce Team Canada roster

Mississauga - St. Louis Blues Defensemen and IceDogs Governor, Chris Pronger will announce OHL players selected to the Canadian Team for the Canada Russia Challenge. The press conference to take place Thursday October 21st at 11:00 a.m. at the Hershey Centre will announce players to the team simultaneously with Barrie, the other Ontario host city.
Game 4 of the Canada/Russia Challenge will take place at the Hershey Centre this November 29th. Ticket prices and on-sale date will also be announced at the press conference, in addition to any IceDogs players selected to Canada's team.
The Canada Russia Challenge will kick off November 22nd in Quebec with the final game to take place in Lethbridge Alberta on December 2nd. Canada and Russia have finished first and second in the World Junior Championships eight times in the past 18 years. Russia has 12 gold medals in World Junior play, while Canada is second on the all-time list with 10.

IceDogs top Spirit
The IceDogs got back on track Sunday afternoon beating the Saginaw Spirit 6-1 at the Hershey Centre.
After getting out to a 3-1 lead the IceDogs exploded for three goals in the third period to cruise to their fifth win in six games. After Saginaw opened the scoring Michael Swift got his first of the season to tie the game at 1-1. Jordan Owens scored late in the first period to push the IceDogs lead to 2-1. The IceDogs were held off the board until the end of the second period when Patrick O'Sullivan scored his sixth of the season. Then in the third period the IceDogs began to roll scoring three goals to cruise to a 6-1 win. Swift got his second of the game, Painchaud scored his third of the season and Anthony Butera closed out the scoring getting his second of the season.
The IceDogs are back in action Wednesday night when they travel to Belleville to take on the Bulls. After Belleville the 'Dogs are off to London, Toronto and Barrie before returning home Friday, October 29th to host Belleville.
