ABOUT THE GRASSHOPPERS: West Virginia will open the homestand with the Greensboro Grasshoppers on Wednesday. It will be a familiar jersey but a different roster make up from the last time the 'Hoppers made their way to Charleston. Names like Mason Martin , Rodolfo Castro, and Lolo Sanchez, all former Power players, are no longer with the club. However, a strong foundation still remains for Greensboro with guys in the lineup like Ji-Hwan Bae and Connor Kaiser keep the Grasshoppers afloat in the ultra-competitive Northern Division.
ABOUT THE BRAVES: After splitting a four game set with the Braves this past weekend at State Mutual Stadium, West Virginia now welcomes Rome to Appalachian Power Park for the only time this season. The four-game series will begin on Saturday, August 3, against the Braves, who have been first-hand benefactors of Atlanta's strong 2019 draft class. Rome finished 30-39 in the first half, settling for fifth place in a weak Southern Division. However, with the draft class rejuvenation, the Braves are sitting in the thick of the second half race for the South. Atlanta's 2019 first-rounder Braden Shewmake has raked with a .318 average, one homer and 21 RBI in just 36 games with Rome. All-Star infielder Greg Cullen has continued his torment of SAL pitchers with seven long balls and 44 RBI on the season.

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network will also be in attendance to help raise awareness on pancreatic cancer and let fans know how they can help beat this disease.
